Joint Meeting Of Master Courts

Jointmeeting2

On May 3rd 2012 the Master Courts of both the Incorporation of Coopers of Glasgow and the Worshipful Company of Coopers agreed to formalise a Co-operation Agreement on Youth and Education which was signed in the presence of the Earl of Wessex. On the same day, the Earl, already an Honourable Member of the Incorporation became the first member of the Royal Family to be clothed in the Livery of the Coopers' Company.

At a reception in the Coopers' Hall Museum, the Earl spoke with some young Coopers' sponsored people. They had earlier told us about their recent activities, hopes for the future and how they had benefitted from being associated with the Companies. Leading Cadet Kimberley Jamieson represented the Glasgow Sea Cadet Unit, T.S.Galatea, based at the Tall Ship. She is applying to the Royal Navy to become a mine warfare specialist.
