Skinners Ladies Golf Report 2016

Skinners Ladies Golf Team 2016

What a beautiful day the ladies of the Trades House had for their Annual Golf Competition on May 9th at Douglas Park.  Alison Ferguson, Marilynn Muirhead, Mary Hardie and Laura Lambie represented the Skinners - the team has been together for 5 years and were keen to retain the silver tray.  Eight of the fourteen crafts were playing for the trophy with a total of 26 ladies taking part.  The course was in good condition and the event well organised by Sarah Dorward of the Cordiners, with Iain Lockhart taking care of the scoring.

After a thoroughly enjoyable 18 holes the ladies retired to the clubhouse for a delicious lunch.  Past golf convenors Charlotte Horspool and Sheena Watson joined us and the Deacon Convenor Ruth Maltman was on hand to present the prizes.

The individual prize for highest stableford points went to Hilary McNaughton of the Fleshers with 35 points.

Nearest the pin on the 17th went to Sheena Boyd of the Gardeners for the bronze and Kay Murray of the Bonnetmakers for silver.

Longest drive on the 18th went to Liz Crighton of the Hammermen for bronze and Ann O'Connell of the Coopers for silver.

The winning team on the day, with 95 stableford points, went to the Skinners who were presented with the Silver Salver.
