His Royal Highness, The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, kindly hosted a celebratory dinner for the Incorporation of Weavers of Glasgow for their 501st anniversary at Dumfries House on 25th January 2016.

Among the guests were representatives from the weaving & Highland wear industry, educationalists, Deacons of the other Scottish & English weaving trades and supporters of the Scottish Tartans Authority.

The evening started with a guided tour of Dumfries house followed with displays of historical tartan and highland wear on show from Mount  Stuart, National Trust for Scotland, The STA , Paisley museum, Sma' Shot cottages and some collectors pieces.

This was followed with a superb dinner and entertainment, laid on with a touch of Burns. The evening was a huge success and a great way for the guests to collectively help promote the weaving industries from North & South of the border.
