Deacon Douglas

Deacon Douglas barely had time to pause for breath following her election at the AGM on Friday 18th September 2009 as it was the Incorporation of Masons' Annual Dinner that evening - and the Bakers were 'doing' the visitation!

In time honoured tradition Deacon Douglas and new Master Court member Robert Robertson (who ably stood in for Collector Sir Michael Bond who was out of the country on holiday) were heard knocking on the doors of the Great Hall.  Eventually they were allowed in.

The gifts presented to the Masons included the traditional cake, which on this occasion was fashioned in the shape of 'the Stone of Destiny' - although much tastier and less crunchy than the original!

The visitation ended with Deacon Douglas and Robert Robertson confirming in song that they would indeed 'come back again'.  A great night was had by all!
