Despite the dreich weather the Deacon's Choosing Dinner on Thursday 19th November was well attended and considered a great success.

Peter McCarthy of The British Red Cross and our own Collector Professor Sir Michael Bond were the speakers for the evening and were well received.

The traditional tombola was in aid of The British Red Cross and the impressive sum of £1,553 (not including gift aid) was raised.   The British Red Cross have written expressing their thanks and gratitude for the funds, which will be used for local projects here in Scotland.
