GROWING IN GLASGOW

Saturday 28th March 2009

The Incorporation sponsored a Spring event in the Trades Hall organised by Glasgow Allotments' Forum on 28th March.  A large number of stalls and workshops gave gardening enthusiasts the opportunity to find out about a variety of topics like soil testing, preparing the ground and sowing seeds, identifying plants and weeds, composting and wormeries, fruit growing, growing organically and in harmony with nature etc.

Deacon Gordon Miller opening the event.

Getting advice from the experts.

Enquiring about allotments at the Scottish Allotments and Gardens Society stall.

Finding out about the benefit of composting.
