A large gathering of winners and guests attended the 25th anniversary of the annual "Let Glasgow Flourish" Awards in the Trades Hall on 30th April 2009.  The Commendation and High Commendation awards were presented by Bailie Jim McNally to 49 businesses in Glasgow for floral displays outside their premises.  The judging had taken place during the summer of 2008.  The top award, the Robertson Silver Spade, which the winner gets to keep for a year, was presented to The Sherbrooke Castle Hotel in Pollokshields by Mr. Walter Gilmour.
