"Let Glasgow Flourish" Awards
TRADES HALL - Thursday 29th April 2010 at 11 for 11.30 am
Awards are given to businesses and institutions in Glasgow for green and flowering horticultural displays in public view during the summer season. The displays are monitored by a teams of judges during the summer and Awards are presented at the Trades Hall the following Spring, usually the last Thursday of April.
Judging for the annual
"Let Glasgow Flourish" Awards 2009 take place during the Summer months. The Awards will be presented in the Trades Hall on Thursday
30th April 2010 at 11 for 11.30 am to businesses and institutions in Glasgow for their green and flowering horticultural displays in public view during the Summer season of 2009.
There are three categories of Awards:-
Commendation High Commendation A Certificate is awarded for the first year - plaques for subsequent years
The Robertson Silver SpadePresented to a business or organisation which in the judges' opinion has reached an exceptionally high standard over a number of seasons. The Spade is retained by the Winner for display on their premises for one year.

The Robertson Silver Spade was presented by Walter Gilmour to The Sherbrooke Castle Hotel, Pollokshields, on 30th April 2009 for their outstanding floral displays during the Summer of 2008.

Babbity Bowster was the winner of the Robertson Silver Spade in April 2007. Deacon Brian Porteous and Lord Provost Liz Cameron with Frank Kerr and the proprietor, Fraser Laurie of Babbity Bowster.
