Dinner 2008

Dinner 2008 was  held in Trades Hall ( where else ?) on           Monday 17th November.

The guest speaker was a "well kent face" in Glasgow and  entertained Maltmen and their guests. He is Sheriff J. Irvine Smith and we were honoured to have him back. He last spoke in 1980 at J Allan Denholm's dinner

The second speaker was Brett Crittenden, the wine raconteur. Hugely popular in the trade with a unique style, he continued the tradition of Drinks Trade professionals who speak at Maltmen Dinners entertaining the Craft and their guests.

The Annual Dinner was held in The Trades Hall with           Visitor Richard J.Barbour in the chair.

Like Visitor Murray Blair, Richard has done it before. He followed Murray in year 1991 - 1992.

As always, the Dinner was a nearsell out with good food, drink and most of all good company.

There is now much vying within the Master Court for the Honour of hosting next year's dinner and being Visitor
