The Glasgow Ball will be held in the Glasgow Hilton, Saturday 12th May 2012

 

The chosen charity by this year’s Deacon Convener John R Steele is East Park.

 

East Park is a registered charity based in the Maryhill area of Glasgow and has provided education and supported accommodation services to children and young people with additional support needs, including autism, since 1874.

 

The Aim of the Glasgow Ball this year is to raise at least £25,000 for the charity. 

 

At the Ball, there will be a Champagne Reception with Entertainment. This will be followed by a welcome from the Deacon Convener, then Irish Bingo and Dinner in the Grand Ballroom.

The Deacon Convener's Special Project this year is East Park Glasgow’s much-loved special needs school. Money raised at the Glasgow Ball to be held on Saturday 12 May 2012 will be used to enable the school to provide a whole range of specialist equipment and resources including transport, all of which help to enrich the lives of the children.
