Alister Bird, Jamie Mason, Nick Muirhead and David Bird played a team representing the Masons in the first round of the 2014 Trades House knockout curling competition. This was an accomplished team who would undoubtedly do well in the competition. Unfortunately for us they were just too good on the night and we did well to get a point on the board eventually losing 9-1. Another early bath for the Skinners I'm afraid! However, always optimistic, we look forward to better luck next season.

The Masons, skipped by Doug Kerr with Past Deacon Iain Smith at three, his brother Gavin at two and lead Late Deacon Brian Evans had a tight game, but ultimately a win over the Hammermen in the final at Braehead on 24th February. Congratulations to them.

We are always looking for new members interested in playing. It is not a huge commitment and only involves a maximum of 5 games over the season. The season starts in September and concludes in January with the final. So why not give it a go.

If you are interested in being considered for the team or would just like to know more about the competition then let me know on
