In June 2014, Dutch couple Joanna and Piet Neefjes made
their first visit to Scotland and one of their primary reasons for
doing so was to donate to the Trades House of Glasgow some
documents. These documents belonged to ancestors of Joanna, Ex
Convener Francis Crawfurd 1765 and are burgess tickets for Glasgow,
Linlithgow, Renfrew and Dumbarton and the hand written manuscripts
in 3 volumes for a book, a copy of which we have in the Trades
House Library, written by Francis Crawfurd's son.
We are indebted to Joanna and Piet for their thoughtfulness and
gifting to us these priceless artifacts.
