Relief Fund
The Trades House of Glasgow Relief Fund is available to individuals within the city of Glasgow and surrounding areas who are in great need due to financial hardship or other disadvantage.
Who is eligible?
People with UK residency, those with the right to work in the UK and Asylum seekers with Home Office approval.
Please note applicants must have lived in Glasgow (or the surrounding areas) continuously for 2 years or more , official proof of this is to be emailed with your application
YOU MUST ALSO PROVIDE PROOF OF YOUR RIGHT TO REMAIN AS PART OF YOUR APPLICATION
Please note that the Trades House of Glasgow Relief Fund is unable to help with the following: everyday living costs (food etc), rent, rent arrears, council tax, council tax arrears, household bills and household bill arrears, funeral costs (except in exceptional circumstances), holidays, items, support or personal effects which Councils are legally required to provide including shelter and accommodation, cosmetic repairs and improvements, items and treatments which the state provides

IF YOU ARE MAKING AN APPLICATION FOR FLOORING - A QUOTATION OR ESTIMATE MUST BE PROVIDED ON LETTER HEADED PAPER FROM A SUPPLIER AS PART OF YOUR APPLICATION FORM AND FORWARDED TO KATRINA TILSTON
PLEASE NOTE: Financial and personal information will be required as part of our assessment process. This information will remain confidential and will not be passed to any other organisation without prior consent.
What happens after making an application?
Your application form will be forwarded to Lorraine Tedeschi who will make contact with you within 28 days from receipt of application. She will contact you arrange a home visit in order to discuss your application further.A home visit must take place in order for your application to proceed. If a home visit is cancelled three times or we cannot contact you, then your application will automatically be rejected.
Please note that if an interpreter or translator is required for the home visit, it is the responsibility of the applicant or the referring organisation to arrange this.
PLEASE NOTE: If the application is successful, our normal procedure is to purchase and arrange delivery of the items that monies have been awarded for or to issue a voucher
We very rarely pay funds direct to the applicant
