Scotland Today: the big issues

Join in the discussion at 6pm- 8pm, on 29th August, to scrutinise the big issues in Scotland’s future.

Prof Sir John Curtice will chair the event, taking place in The Trades Hall of Glasgow. Tickets (£10) include a glass of wine.

Confirmed speakers are:

  • Lord Michael Forsyth, former Conservative Secretary of State for Scotland
  • Ivan McKee MSP,SNP Minister for Trade, Investment & Innovation
  • Johann Lamont MSP, former Leader of Scottish Labour Party
  • Jim Ferguson, businessman and Brexit Party candidate
  • Colin McLean, Founder of Scottish Value Management, actuary, writer and broadcaster
  • Wendy Chamberlain, Liberal Democrat Constitutional Affairs spokesman
  • Glenn Elder, Independent Councillor

The proceeds will be donated to the Trades House’s official charity, the Kinship Care Initiative, which seeks to help children and their carers whose parents are unable to care for them. This may be due to a variety of different reasons including addiction, mental health issues, prison and / or alcoholism.
