A Midsummer Night’s Ball:
For One Night Only, Let the Hall Run Wild
For one enchanted midsummer night, the historic Trades Hall of Glasgow
will be transformed; from the polite seating and predictable courses we all
know; to a world of wandering, wonder, music and mischief.
Inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream, you are invited to roam freely
through a series of immersive spaces, each with its own atmosphere,
flavours and surprises. Drink, dance, discover choosing your own
adventure as the night unfolds.
Slip into the Rude Mechanicals’ Drinking Den, where jazz hums, whisky
flows, cards are dealt and craft traditions sampled. Lose yourself in the
fairy Queen Titania’s Hollow, alive with music, Dancing, and tables heaving
with nature’s bounty under the glow of midsummer magic. Encounter the
Athenians, where cocktails meet interactive art, and gather for the Lovers’
Wedding Feast, serving food fit for celebration.
But remember to leave time to roam and discover the Hidden corners;
places to brush against the magical, the mythical, and the unexpected.
This is a ball reimagined.
No assigned seats. No rigid schedule. No three-course routine.
Just our historic hall, completely transformed and a night designed to be
